About Maria Burgess, APRN, FNP-BC, ENP-C

Maria Burgess is Vegas Born and Raised. She has always had a passion to help others in her community. Maria enjoys caring for patients and their health, and also enjoys spending time with family, trying new foods and traveling the world.

Maria started her path at 19 years of age as a certified nurse assistant in hospitals across the valley.  After practicing as a Registered Nurse for over 12 years in Critical Care, Maria wanted to make more of an impact in her community. She went on to earn a Master’s degree of Nursing from UNLV in 2013, and became a Family Nurse Practitioner. Maria has volunteered and assisted disaster relief during Hurricane Harvey, traveled overseas to assist in education and treatment in Ghana, South Africa. Maria has also volunteered in our local community at Shade tree, JDRF, and assisted in medical care at the annual Rock and Roll Marathon. 

Maria is dual-board certified in Family and Emergency Medicine and has practiced in multiple fields, including providing care in a family practice setting, caring for the critically ill, and assisting in Orthopedic surgery. Maria’s passion remains in helping others and is the reason for starting a family practice.

Promoting health, assisting in healing, and preventing illness is at the heart of her nursing core. She holds association memberships in AANP, AAENP, ANA, WRAPNN, and SSRP. She stays current on medical gold standards for disease prevention and treatment while integrating new and cutting-edge advancements in health to incorporate lifestyle practices.
